The Encore 2 Windows tablets are available in 8- and 10-inch diagonal screen sizes, both tablets run Microsoft Windows 8.1 operating system, and preloaded practical apps like Skype, Xbox Music and Video, and one-year subscription to Office 365. As shown in the images, the two Windows 8.1 tablet sports an ultra slim design along with an elegant satin gold matte finish and rounded edges, and come equipped with Intel Atom quad-core processor, up to 64GB internal storage, a bright HD multi-touch display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, and 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera as well 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus. Moreover, other specs also include WiFi, micro HDMI, stereo speaker with Dolby Digital Plus, microSDXC card slot supporting up to 128GB. Apart from that, the Windows tablets offer up to 8 hours of video playback between charges.
The 8-inch Encore 2 Windows 8.1 tablet is priced at $199.99 USD, and the 10-inch model costs $269.99 USD. Both tablets will be available in early July at select retailers and on Toshiba online store.
