Nintendo has announced two new handheld game consoles in their Nintendo 3DS family, including New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL. Both handheld devices will be available in Japan on October 11 this year. If you’re curious, let’s go on checking.
New Nintendo 3DS XL measures 160 x 93.5 x 21.5mm, weights approx 329 grand, and the New Nintendo 3DS measures 142 x 80.6 x 21.6mm and weights 253 grams, so the New Nintendo 3DS XL sports a larger 4.88-inch upper screen and 4.18-inch touch-screen LCD lower screen, while the New 3DS comes equipped with a 3.88-inch pure screen and a 3.33-inch touchscreen LCD display. Moreover, both the handheld game consoles feature higher performance processor in order to run new exclusive games, and the new shoulder buttons and stick will enhance the play controls, including C-Stick for easy to control in-game camera, and ZL, ZR buttons. Apart from that, New Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL also feature enhanced viewing angle based on locating your face using the camera on the top, and built-in light sensor allows the two handheld game consoles automatically adjust brightness based on environment lighting. Furthermore, the new “NFC” features will enable the use of the “amiibo” on Nintendo 3DS.
The New Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL are priced at ¥16000 and ¥18800 (approx $154 and $181 USD), but the New Nintendo handheld game consoles won’t be launched in North America and Europe this year.
