Barnes & Noble NOOK Tablet measures 8.1 x 5.0 x 0.48 inches and weights 14.1 ounces. As we can see from the images, NOOK Tablet has the same size with NOOK Color, but features lighter weight. NOOK Tablet uses modified Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread mobile operating system, and also features nice specs, including a OMAP4 dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 7-inch VividView Color touchscreen display with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution, and wireless connectivity via WiFi.
The built-in rechargeable battery can provide you up to 11.5 hours of reading or 9 hours of video playback with wireless off between charges, and the integrated microSD card slot supports up to 32GB memory card. In addition, the preloaded apps include Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora Internet radio, Chess, Crossword, Sudoku, Media Gallery, NOOK Friends and Email.
