One year after release of SmartBand Talk, Sony recently announced SmartBand 2, their latest fitness tracker. With its newly added heart rate sensor, the smart band delivers you more accurate tracking data.
The SmartBand 2 is an advanced activity tracker and smart band that measures 40.7 x 15.3 x 9.5mm and weights 25g. As we can see from the images, the Sony’s latest fitness tracker shows off a minimal and stylish design with four optional colors including white, black, pink and indigo in order to easily match your style, and the soft and smooth silicone material ensures the wristband stays on your wrist in comfort.
The second generation SmartBand features an advanced heart rate monitor that can constantly check your pulse and lets you know what activities raise your heart rate and how your heart returns to its normal resting rate. Moreover, its built-in accelerometer tracks your movement and sleep, and custom Lifelog app lets you check detailed tracking data on your smartphone, and personalized suggestions help you reduce stress level and balance your life.
As a smart band, Sony’s SmartBand utilizes Bluetooth and NFC to pair with your smartphone in order to receives messages, calls and notifications from the connected smartphone, and its vibrating alert and optional colored LEDs gently remind you of incoming info from your phone. In addition, its IP68 waterproof housing allows the fitness tracker to be submerged in water up to 3m depth, and built-in rechargeable battery offers up to 5 days of usage between charges.
