Philips released Hue smart bulbs several years ago. Now a dedicatedly designed motion sensor has been released, which automatically triggers your Philips Hue by your motion.
This is a practical and portable motion sensor designed for Philips Hue smart bulbs. The motion sensor measures 2.17 x 2.17 x 0.79 inches, and we can see from the images, the unit shows off a compact and minimal appearance that allows you to deploy it anywhere in your house, and its solid white design enables it to blend well with any interior style.
The motion sensor comes equipped with Passive InfraRed (PIR) with adjustable sensitivity that allows it to detect motions approx 5 meters away, and it wirelessly connects with your Philips Hue Bridge in order to interact with your Hue lights. Once it detects any motion, your Hue light will be triggered automatically.
Furthermore, the motion sensor allows you to set different light settings for day and night. During the day, it triggers crisp white light to help you see better. At night, it turns on a gentle night light to help you navigate in the dark. Moreover, when no more motion is detected, the lights dim down before they automatically switch off after a selected time. In addition, the motion sensor is powered by 2 AAA batteries, so you can easily install it anywhere in your home, and built-in magnet allows you to attach it onto a metal surface.
The motion sensor will be available for $39.95 USD in October this year. If you’re interested, jump to Philips Hue for its more details.
