Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact Android Smartphones Announced

Sony Xperia XZ2 Android Smartphone

Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact are the successor to Sony Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact Android smartphones. The Xperia XZ2 measures 2.8 x 6 x 0.4 inches, and the compact version is 2.6 x 5.3 x 0.5 inches. As we can see from the images, both new handsets show off an elegant and slim form factor, and the fluid 3D glass surface not only provides enhanced elegance, but also makes it comfortable in your hand. Meanwhile, the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and metal frame deliver a durable construction and a beautiful premium feel.

Sony Xperia XZ2 features a 5.7″ 18:9 Full HD+ HDR display with 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution, Triluminos Display for mobile, X-Reality for mobile and Dynamic Contrast Enhancer, while the Xperia XZ2 has a 5.0″ display that allows you to more easily hold it with one hand. Moreover, the two smartphones share with almost same features. Using Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 platform, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and microSDXC card slot supporting up to 400GB, the two phones are powered enough to deal with various apps, games, HD video playback and numerous photos and videos.

Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact also feature a 19MP Motion Eye camera with 1/2.3″ Exmor RS for mobile memory-stacked sensor, BIONZ for mobile image-processing engine, 25mm wide G Lens, f/2.0 aperture, and 4K video recording as well as 5-axis stabilization, and 5MP front-facing camera lets you capture beautiful selfies. In addition, other features also include Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, optional dual SIM, USB-C, QC 3.0 fast charge and stereo speaker. The Xperia XZ2 also supports wireless charging.
