We introduced Sony Xperia P smartphone yesterday, now let’s go on checking Xperia U, another new Android phone announced by Sony during MWC 2012.
Sony Xperia U is a 3.5-inch Android phone that measures 112 x 54 x 12mm and weights 110g. The smartphone runs Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread mobile operating system with a promise to update to the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and features a 1GHz STE U8500 dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal storage, a 3.5-inch Reality Display with 854 x 480 pixels resolution, a 5-megapixel rear camera with fast capture, HD recording and Sony technology to capture 2D and 3D panoramic images, and other interfaces also include Bluetooth, WiFi, DLNA, aGPS and USB host. The supported network standards include UMTS HSPA 850/1900/2100 and GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900. Apart from that, the Android phone is powered by a 1320mAh rechargeable battery.
Sony Xperia U Android phone will be launched in Q2 this year. So far Sony hasn’t unveiled the detailed price and release date. We have to wait patiently for more info from Sony official site.
