Appearance design
The Sevenhugs smart remote is designed to offer you an all-in-one way to control all kinds of appliances and devices in your house. The smart remote kit consists of a remote control, three room sensors and one charging dock.
The smart remote measures 5.31″ x 1.61″ x 0.38″, and as we can see from the images, it shows off an elegant and minimalistic design, and its compact and ultra-thin profile with soft-touch silicone back lets you comfortably hold it in your hand.
The room sensor measures 2.52″ diameter x 0.63″ thickness. With its low-profile and compact design, it blends well with the white walls in your house.
Smart features
The three room sensors are designed to arrange in the room where you’d like to use your smart remote. For best performance, you need to place them at least 7ft (2m) high on different walls and as far apart as possible.
Using precise indoor positioning system, the sensors track your smart remote’s exact position and orientation. Furthermore, with integrated WiFi, Bluetooth and infrared, the remote works with more than 25,000 devices, so when you point to a device with the remote, it instantly delivers an adapted interface for easy control.
Moreover, using its companion app, you can also create custom scenes that allow you to control multiple devices with a single tap.
In addition to controlling your TV, lights, thermostat and other devices, the smart remote also allows you to access your favorite services like pointing to your front door for Uber or a window for weather forecast. All you need to do is just point toward each location to get instant access.
Apart from that, its rounded charging dock features an integrated button that helps you locate your smart remote in the room.
Price and shipment date
The crowdfunding campaign for Sevenhugs smart remote is ongoing on Kickstarter. You can pledge $149 to own the all-in-one remote. It will be shipped in July 2017.
