With havin so much written content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright violation?
My site has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my authorization. Do you know any ways to help protect against content from being stolen? I’d
genuinely appreciate it.
Donovan, you’re probably right. Here’s what iLounge.com had to say about the Root Cases gang (see http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/root-cases-iphone-4-case/):
“After Root Cases violated our astroturfing policy by posting comments on a news article pretending to be a customer interested in this product, we have opted not to cover the company’s releases, which strongly appear to be knockoffs of cases by Miniot. We strongly urge readers not to do business with companies that engage in dishonest marketing practices, which iLounge has warned against for years.”
Nuff said I guess, no matter if they are Chinese or Martian.
The design of these cheap fakes look fairly similar tot the real deal indeed. You’ve got to give it to the Idaho Copycat Crew: they sure have a keen eye for every detail the steal ;-).
But as often, looks can be deceiving. The difference between a real Miniot and fake ones gets all too obvious when one takes a closer look into the quality of the products. It’s in their lack of the Miniot production and research & development facilities that couterfeiters run into problems, and have to come up with their typical pathetic solutions and poor work-arounds.
Aw well, sorry for the rant. I just can’t stand copycats. One final word for people who buy these rugged, lumpy, pre-broken-during-shipment fake Miniot cases: What if you were to find out your iPhone is in fact a Chinese copy?
I had bought one from them.very nice.and the price is good.Miniot is expensive. But quality and design looks similar.
These rootcases are poorly chinese made copies of the Dutch made Miniot cases. See http://www.miniot.com. These guys are making wooden iPod and iPhone cases for about 5 years now, and the quality is amazing. These rootcases people are stealing their designs.
