We have introduced many nice phone mounts that can elegantly fix your smartphone on the dashboard, but if you prefer DIY, you may like to make your own smartphone car mount by yourself.
Projectsugru, a team behind Sugru recently came up with another pretty useful project. The materials you need to prepare are a minipack of sugru, one neodymium disc magnet and a UK copper coin or a washer. Using a half of the sugru from the minipack, you can easily attach the coin or washer on the back of your smartphone as an attachment, while another part of the sugru is attached to the magnet, and mount it to your car’s dashboard. Just two steps, a car mount system for smartphone has been completed. Now you can easily attach your phone on the dashboard for navigation. In the same way, you can easily fix your GPS or cables on the dashboard. Need more detailed guidance? Head to instructables for full steps.
