Lenovo has announced Miix 520, its latest 2-in-1 Windows 10 tablet. With Intel’s latest 8th generation processor the hybrid tablet is trying to be a strong competitor of new Surface Pro.
The Miix 520 is a high-performance 2-in-1 Windows 10 tablet that measures 11.8 x 8.1 x 0.4 inches and weighs 1.98 lbs (without keyboard). As shown in the images, the Windows tablet sports a slim and sleek appearance design, but the slightly tilting frame and flat surfaces look like being inspired by the design of Surface Pro 4.
The Windows 10 tablet also has an integrated stand built form 280 individual pieces of stainless steel for durability and flexibility. The kickstand is adjustable up to 150 degrees in order to deliver an ideal viewing angle for watching video, typing or using the touchscreen.
Lenovo Miix 520 is powered by Intel 8th generation quad-core processing and comes equipped with up to 1TB PCIe SSD storage and up to 16GB RAM, so it’s able to smoothly run various apps and deal with a variety of tasks.
The Windows 10 tablet also features a 12.2″ touchscreen Full HD display with wide-angle viewing and a wide range of colors. Using its 8MP autofocus WorldView camera the tablet allows you to scan objects and send the 3D files to your 3D printer. Moreover, as a hybrid tablet, Miix 520 also has an optional detachable keyboard that brings you laptop-style mobile typing experience, and optional Active Pen 2 features 4,096 levels of sensitivity that brings you pen-on-paper handwriting and drawing experience.
In addition, other features also include stereo speakers, fingerprint sensor, USB-C port, USB 3.0 port, microSIM slot, and up to 8 hour video playback between charges.
Lenovo Miix 520 2-in-1 Windows 10 tablet will be available in October starting at $999.99 USD. If you’re interested, jump to Lenovo official site for its more details.
