Microsoft announced new Surface Pro at its press event in Shanghai yesterday. With all-new design and 13.5 hours of battery life, the hybrid Windows tablet is trying to bring you better mobile entertainment and work experience.
Similar with Surface Pro 4, the new Surface Pro follows the design philosophy of 2-in-1 laptop and tablet, but compared with its predecessor with straight lines and surfaces, the new device features a smoother frame, and it measures 11.5 x 7.9 x 0.33 inches (292 x 201 x 8.5mm), so its ultra-thin and lightweight design and improve ergonomic contours enable it to deliver a more comfortable grip.
The new Surface Pro is powered by Intel Core 7th-generation m3, i5 or i7 processor and comes with 4/8/16GB RAM and 128/256/512GB/1TB SSD, so it deliver customizable high performance to deal with various tasks based on your demands. The 12.3″ PixelSense display features 2736 x 1824 pixels and 267 ppi for a comfortable mobile viewing experience.
The newly designed kickstand on the back is adjustable from 0 – 165 degrees, so it delivers a same Studio Mode as Surface Studio, which provides an optimal writing and drawing angle. Meanwhile, optional Surface Pen features 4096 pressure points that bring you a natural writing and drawing experience, and a natural-feeling rubber eraser lets you easily modify what you have written or drawn on the tablet.
Moreover, the optional Surface Pro Signature Type Cover is constructed with luxurious Alcantara material from Italy for a soft s velvety feel. The optimum key spacing, a large glass trackpad and built-in LED backlight enable it to deliver a tactile and precise typing experience even in the dark.
The new Surface Pro also comes equipped with a 5.0MP front facing camera and a 8.0MP rear camera. Both camera support 1080p video recording. Its built-in rechargeable battery offers up to 13.5 hours of video playback on a single charge. In addition, other features also include Windows 10 Pro, USB 3.0 port, microSD card reader, 3.5mm audio jack, Mini DisplayPort, Bluetooth 4.1 and 1.6W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio Premium.
