As its name implies, LaCie Rugged Mini is a smaller, lightweight, rugged external hard drive. The USB 3.0 hard disk measures 3.4 x 5.3 x 0.75 inches, weights 8.5 ounces, and as we can see from the images, the frame of the hard drive has been wrapped by orange rubber bumper in order to protect Rugged Mini from shocks, plus the aluminum casing, the external hard drive also features rain and pressure resistance. And with the help of USB 3.0 support, the interface transfer rate can reach up to 5Gb/s. Apart from that, LaCie Rugged Mini preloaded several softwares, including Private-Public, Backup Assistant, Eco-Mode, and Wuala Secure Online Storage, and also comes with 2-year limited warranty.
