Some analysts predicted iPhone sales will decline next year. Maybe a unique feature phone can bring them another growth point, so talented designer came up with iDot that shows you what it would look like if Apple made a dumbphone.
The iDot is a concept dumb phone with Apple logo designed by the designers from CURVED/labs. The handset measures 6.3mm thick, weights under 100g, and as we can see from the images, the concept phone is designed based on Apple TV‘s Siri remote, so it shows off many charming design elements from the remote like ultra-thin profile, rounded corners, aluminum housing and three classic optional colors: space gray, rose gold and silver.
As a dumb phone, the iDot doesn’t allows you to install various apps, but using built-in Bluetooth technology, it receives app notifications from your iPhone just like what your Apple Watch is doing. And due to the design without camera and Internet connection, the handset’s battery life can last up to 5 days. No doubt, iDot only cares about your calls, but Apple will never ignore their App Store, so don’t expect a dumbphone will be available on Apple Store. BTW, also don’t miss iPrinter, a concept 3D printer with Apple logo and more related cool stuff by following tags.
