Unlike any flying drone on the market, Fleye delivers a unique spherical design, and with the help of open API, Fleye smart flying drone is programmable and perform autonomous missions.
The Fleye is an innovative and advanced smart flying drone that measures 9 inches diameter and weights 16 oz. As we can see from the images, the drone features a unique spherical body, and its all moving parts have been shielded by the spherical body shell for a safe flight, and you can freely hold, touch, push and bump into your Fleye without worrying about any ricks of injuring yourself or others.
As a smart flying drone, Fleye features a powerful on-board computer that mainly consists of a dual-core ARM A9 processor, two GPUs, 512MB RAM and Linux OS. Using its two open APIs, you can design autonomous tasks for your Fleye, and making it be a flying robot.
Of course, as a consumer-grade flying drone, the Fleye also features an easy-to-use control platform. Using built-in WiFi connectivity, the drone wirelessly communicates with your smartphone in order that you can use your phone as a remote to control the drone, and its custom app also comes with three preset autonomous missions including selfie, panorama and hover.
Moreover, using its camera with 5MP OmniVision 5640 sensor and 160-degree FOV lens on the top, the flying drone captures awesome aerial photos and 1080p videos, or delivers you real-time video streaming. And its 1,500mAh rechargeable battery offers 10 minutes flight time. Apart from that, other specs also include 3-axis accelerometer, gyro, magnetometer, pressure based altimeter, sonar, GPS and microSD card slot.
The crowdfunding campaign for Fleye is ongoing on Kickstarter. You can pledge €599 (approx $632 USD) to preorder the smart flying robot. If reaching the $185,837 funding goal, it will be shipped in September next year. BTW, also don’t miss PowerUp FPV paper airplane drone and more related cool stuff by following tags.
