DJI Phantom 4 Pro Flying Drone Boasts 4K Camera, 5-Direction Obstacle Sensing and More

In addition to commercial grade Inspire 2, DJI also unveiled Phantom 4 Pro, its latest consumer-grade flying drone. With newly added 5-direction obstacle sensing, the drone delivers more intelligent flight experience, and its updates camera captures higher-quality aerial videos.

Appearance design

DJI Phantom 4 Pro is a high-performance camera drone packed with many intelligent features. The flying drone weighs 1388g, and as shown in the images, it follows the elegant and streamlined design of Phantom 4, and its titanium alloy and magnesium alloy construction delivers enhanced rigidity of the airframe and remains lightweight design.

Flight performance

The Phantom 4 Pro features a top speed of 20m/s, and compared with 28-minute flight time, the new drone prolongs the flight time to a maximum of 30 minutes. Furthermore, its 5-directions of obstacle sensing and 4-directions of obstacle avoidance protect the drone from more obstacles for safe flight.

The Phantom 4 Pro comes with multiple intelligent flight modes including ActiveTrack, TapFly, and its Draw mode allows you to draw a route on screen. Your Phantom 4 Pro will move in that direction while keeping its altitude locked. Its Return to Home feature enables the drone to automatically choose the best route to return home based on environmental conditions.

Camera features

Phantom 4 Pro features an uprated camera with a 1-inch 20MP sensor that’s able to capture 4K/60fps video and support burst mode at 14fps. Using its Gesture mode, the drone can take selfies using a few gestures without its remote controller.

In addition, a 5.5″ 1080p screen has been integrated wit its remote controller for intuitive and handy control experience, and brand new DJI Lightbridge HD video transmission technology supports a maximum transmission range of 4.3mi.
