DJI has released its latest camera drone – Phantom 4. With its built-in sensors, the new generation flying drone can automatically avoid obstacles and track moving subjects.
The Phantom 4 is an advanced and powerful flying camera drone. Compared with Phantom 3, the latest drone has a lighter and more sleeker appearance, and its unibody design delivers an ultra strong construction, whilst the streamlined contour not only makes it more elegant, but also enhances its flight efficiency.
The Phantom 4 features a dual satellite positioning system and an enhanced Vision Position System, so the flying drone is able to sense the environment around it and automatically avoid obstacles in its path. Its new TapFly feature allows you to navigate the drone by tapping the screen of your smartphone, and using ActiveTrack feature, Phantom 4 can lock and track moving subjects automatically.
The Phantom 4 also features a high-performance camera that is capable of capturing 4K video at 30 fps and slow motion 1080p at 120 fps, and its 3-axis, u-frame camera stabilization system delivers stable imagery during flight. Moreover, its long range transmission allows you to see what the camera captures in 720p HD from up to 3.1 miles (5km) away via your smartphone or tablet.
Furthermore, its removable rechargeable battery offers 28 minute maximum flight time, and its Sport Mode gives a top of 44.7mph (72Kph). In addition, Smart Return Home allows the drone to avoid obstacles as it returns home.
The Phantom 4 camera drone has been available for $1399 USD. If you’re interested, jump to DJI for its more details.
