Barnes & Noble has announced its latest 7″ Nook Tablet. With an IPS display optimized for reading, the Android tablet should be a nice ebook reader that fits in your bag, and its $49.99 price tag is another nice selling point.
Appearance design
Nook Tablet 7″ is a budget friendly, custom designed Android tablet that measures 7.40 x 4.20 x 0.39 inches and weighs 8.80 oz. As we can see from the images, the tablet has a low-profile and slim design. Don’t expect an affordable tablet can bring some new ideas in appearance, but its smooth sides and matte finish still deliver a comfortable grip experience for prolonged reading.
Performance
The Nook Tablet comes equipped a 7-inch IPS display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution and 171 ppi and it’s optimized for reading, so you can use it to enjoy your favorite books, videos and games as well as apps.
In addition to onboard 8GB storage, Nook Tablet 7″ has a built-in microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB, you have enough storage capacity to keep various digital content in the tablet, and all your Nook purchase can be stored for free in Nook Cloud.
Its rechargeable battery offers up to 7 hours of reading, web browsing or video watching. Additionally, integrated Google Play allows you to access all kinds of apps, games, movies and songs.
