Xiaomi recently announced Mi Band 2, its latest fitness tracker with heart rate monitor. Using newly added OLED display, improved battery and new strap design, the wearable is trying to deliver a more comfortable and handy experience.
The Mi Band 2 is a budget friendly and fully featured fitness tracker that weights only 7g. The core unit measures 15.7 x 40.3 x 10.5mm, and its strap is 155-210mm adjustable length. As we can see from the images, the fitness tracker shows off a minimalistic and smooth appears along with multiple optional colors, and its strap is made of thermoplastic elastomers, which delivers a comfortable wearing experience, and aluminum clip adds more modern aesthetics and premium feeling.
The fitness tracker comes equipped with power-efficient ADI accelerometer with improved algorithm and optical heart rate sensor that allow it to track your pace, steps, distance, calories burned, and heart rate in your daily life, and its 0.42″ OLED display shows you intuitive tracking info on your wrist. Moreover, built-in Bluetooth 4.0 enables it to wirelessly communicate with your smartphone, so you can view more detailed tracking data via its custom app, and it monitors your sleep duration and records light and deep sleep patterns via the app.
Furthermore, same as Mi Band Pulse, the Mi Band 2 vibrates on getting calls, SMS, and app notifications and vibration alarm clock wakes you up gently in the morning. Apart from these, Mi Band 2 is IP67 water resistant, and its 70mAh rechargeable battery offers up to 20 days of battery life on a single charge
