Samsung recently announced its two latest smart wearables including Gear Fit2 and Gear IconX. At first, let’s keep going for Gear Fit2, a heart rate monitor integrated fitness tracker with a curved Super AMOLED display.
The Gear Fit2 is an advanced hybrid of fitness tracker and smartwatch that measures 24.5 x 51.2mm and weights 28g (30g/small size). As we can see from the images, the smart wearable shows off a sleek and minimal appearance, and its multiple optional colors enables Gear Fit2 to match with different senses of style. Meanwhile, its ergonomic profile provides you a comfortable wearing experience.
The fitness tracker comes equipped with Auto Activity Tracking feature, so the smart device is able to automatically track your activities including running, walking, cycling, utilizing rowing machine or elliptical trainer and more. Furthermore, its embedded GPS and heart rate monitor offer more accurate fitness tracking measurement, and Gear Fit2 features a 1.5″ curved Super AMOLED display with touchscreen and 216 x 432 pixels resolution which not only delivers you intuitive tracking data and notifications from your smartphone, but also allows you to respond to text message notifications. Moreover, the Gear Fit2 works as a standalone music player that provides music without needing to connect with a mobile device.
In addition, Gear Fit2 runs Tizen that’s compatible with Android 4.4 OS, and it’s powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and comes with 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM, and 200mAh rechargeable battery as well as IP68 rated waterproof housing which allows it to withdraw submersion up to 1.5m of water for up to 30 minutes.
