The SmartPlate TopView is an advanced smart plate designed to track and analyze everything you eat in seconds. As we can see from the images, the smart plate shows off a sleek and portable design, and three optional colors allow it to meet different personalities. Moreover, the smart plate also features safe BPA/BPS-free design, and it’s dishwasher and microwave safe too.
Function features
The SmartPlate TopView consists of three parts including a smart plate, a countertop dock and a free companion app for iOS and Android devices.
The smart plate has three removable trays that can be used to hold different foods. Meanwhile, the countertop dock features three individual scales, so when you place the plate on the dock, SmartPlate TopView helps you calculate the food’s weight in every tray.
More importantly, using photo recognition and AI technology, the companion app of the smart plate is able to instantly and accurately detect 1,000+ foods and help you track both macronutrients (protein, carb, fat) and micronutrients (fiber, sugar, sodium). All you need to do is just use its in-app camera function to capture a photo of the plate with your foods.

Moreover, based on your food habit, the companion app gives you a wide range of doctor approved diet programs in order to help you build a healthier dietary habit. The SmartPlate TopView has been available for preorder on Indiegogo. You can pledge $79 to preorder the smart plate. It will be shipped in March 2017.
