Fujifilm has released GFX 50S, its latest medium format mirrorless camera. Using a large sensor and advanced image processor, the premium camera is able to deliver more amazing images.
Fujifilm GFX 50S is a high-performance interchangeable lens medium format mirrorless camera that measures 5.8 x 3.7 x 3.6 inches and weighs 2 lbs. As we can see from the images, the digital camera sports a lightweight yet rugged and durable design defined by its magnesium alloy body construction. Meanwhile, its internal system has been sealed to make it weather- and dust-resistant, and it’s freezeproof down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit.
Performance and features
The mirrorless camera comes equipped with a large 43.8 x 32.9mm 51.4MP CMOS sensor paired with X-Processor Pro image processor in order to produce high-resolution 14-bit stills with a 14-stop wide dynamic range, and its sensitivity range of ISO 100-128000 can be extended to ISO 50-102400 so it works well in low-light conditions. Moreover, it supports shooting continuously up to 3 fps and 1080p video recording at up to 29.97 fps.
Furthermore, its 117-point contrast-detection autofocus system can be further divided into 425 points, and with the help of its 3.2″ touchscreen LCD monitor, GFX 50S not only delivers fast and accurate autofocus, but also allows you to select precise focus areas. Its Face and Eye Detection AF lets you to capture perfect portraits.
In addition to the touchscreen monitor, the mirrorless camera comes with a removable EVF, and a 1.28″ sub LCD screen is placed on the top plate which shows you setting confirmation and exposure data.
Apart from these, built-in WiFi is designed to effortlessly share photos and videos or remotely control the digital camera via smartphone. Its NP-T125 rechargeable battery offers approx 400 shots between charges.
