Amazon has announced all-new Fire HD 8 tablet. Using newly added Alexa voice assist, Amazon is trying to add the tablet into its smart home device ecosystem.
The all-new Fire HD 8 is a budget friendly tablet that measures 8.4 x 5.0 x 0.4 inches (214 x 128 x 9.7mm) and weighs 13 oz (369g). As shown in the images, the tablet shows off a slim and sleek appearance design, and four gorgeous color options allow it to match different personal styles.
The all-new Fire HD 8 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and comes with 1.5GB RAM, 16GB/32GB ROM and a built-in microSD card slot for up to 256GB of expandable storage, so it’s capable of dealing with various daily tasks like playing games, watching videos, reading books and more.
Furthermore, the tablet features a 8-inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and 189 ppi pixel density, and it has a 2MP rear camera and a front-facing VGA camera for video chat. More importantly, Alexa voice assist has been integrated into the new tablet, which allows you to quickly access to the content you want. You can also use the tablet with Alexa to control your home smart devices, and the Alexa gives you immediate voice response based on your questions.
