Leave your smartphone in your pocket. UDrone mind-controlled flying drone can be controlled with the power of your mind. Cool? Let’s go on for its more features.
The UDrone is an innovative mini camera drone that measures 135 x 170 x 53mm and weighs 85g. As shown in the images, the drone features a lightweight and compact design so that you can keep it at your side during any outdoor activity. Meanwhile, the protective bumpers effectively prevent it from destruction in case of crushes.
Unlike any app-enabled drone, the UDrone can be controlled using a wearable brain-sending headband. Using built-in electroencephalography sensor (EEG) and electro-oculography sensor (EOG), the headband measures the electrical activity in the brain and eye movements, while built-in electromyography sensor (EMG) measures electrical activity in response to a nerve’s stimulation of muscles. Furthermore, the headband also come equipped with gyros and accelerometer. The result is that you can control the drone with your thoughts. Tilting your head allows you to adjust the flying direction. By biting your teeth, you can land the drone.
The flying drone comes equipped an HD camera that features an f/2.8 wide-angle lens and a 1/3.2 inch Sony CMOS sensor, so it’s capable of capturing 1080p videos and 8MP stills. Using Optical Flow technology, the camera drone can fly more stably, so it will take more clear images. Moreover, app-enabled feature also allows you to control it with your smartphone, and you can view the real-time camera feed on the app. Auto-follow feature lets the drone keep focus on a curtain person and record continuously. The drone can fly for up to 25 minutes, and the rechargeable battery is detachable, so you can get longer flight time using multiple battery units.
The team behind UDrone is raising fund for the product on Kickstarter. We can pledge $379 to preorder the mind-controlled flying drone. It will be shipped in April 2019.
