You can use a mini computer to bring various apps to your HDTV, but if you also want to enjoy touchscreen, you may like to use Touchjet Wave to turn your TV into a huge tablet with touchscreen functionality.
The WAVE is an innovative and unique Android mini computer designed to bring you tablet-styled operation experience on your TV. Due to the integration of bleeding edge infrared technology, the mini computer looks a bit like a lamp without base. Using an easy grip top mounted attachment, it can fit any HDMI equipped TV up to 80 inches.
The core feature of the WAVE is its built-in bleeding edge infrared technology that is capable to track your finger movements and taps across the screen, then the tracking data is sent to the WAVE’s light processing unit which translates the infrared inputs into gestures and taps that the Android OS can understand. In a word, you can use your HDTV just like a gigantic Android tablet.
The mini computer runs Google Android 4.4 KitKat OS so you can fully enjoy all kinds of Android apps, games, multimedia content, and its Touchjet UI delivers you TV enhanced touchscreen experience. In addition to stylus, your fingers, the WAVE also features a mobile companion app which allows you to use your smartphone as a remote to interact with your TV.
The WAVE is powered by an ARM Cortex-A9 2.0GHz quad-core processor and comes equipped with 1GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB internal storage. I have to say that the processor and onboard storage are no problem but the 1GB RAM is not enough to support many intense games, and it may causes some lags when running some fast-paced games. Apart from that, other interfaces include audio output, 2 USB ports and 1 micro-USB OTG for speakers, external storage device and other USB gadgets.
Touchjet WAVE has been available for preorder via Indiegogo. You can pledge $99 to preorder the mini computer with touchscreen functionality. It will be shipped in March next year. BTW, also don’t miss ComputerStick mini PC and more cool stuff by following tags.
