With two sizes, the new universal lens cap 2.0 is designed to fit for all DSLR camera lenses, and the flexible design also allows the cap to work with lens hoods, camera flashes and more.
The universal lens cap 2.0 is available in two models including Magnum and Micro. Compared with original universal lens cap, the two new models are made of higher grade silicone materials for a durable and stretchable construction. The Magnum measures 72mm diameter and easily stretches to 122mm, so it works with most DSLR and mirrorless camera lenses, all cine-lenses, and super telephoto lenses commonly used for sports and wildlife. The Micro measures 54mm diameter and can stretch up to 76mm so it fits for smaller range finder lenses, micro 4/3s, SLR, vintage lenses and most commonly used medium format and DSLR lenses.
The universal lens cap V2.0 features increased overall height, added face-lift, and widened side-wall columns to protect your lens from bumps, shocks and scratches. Meanwhile, the stretchable body delivers a tight seal in order to shield your lens from water, dust and dirt. The white “X” allows you to customize and color it to help you pick up the right lens in a pinch.
The team behind the universal lens cap 2.0 is raising fund for the product on Kickstarter. We can pledge $35 to preorder the Magnum and Macro lens caps. The two models will be shipped in February 2019. Update: the lens cap has been available on Amazon.
