The NES Classic has a similar mini body with Nintendo’s upcoming Classic NES Edition, but the Raspberry Pi powered mini game console looks more awesome with its mini workable cartridges and controllers.
Daftmike, an electrics hobbyist created the pretty cool mini NES Classic Edition. As we can see from the images, the palm-sized game console perfectly recreated the contours and details from the original Nintendo Entertainment System and it features a more advanced core: Raspberry Pi mini computer. The mini NES casing is 3D printed, and its hinged front lid allows you to insert or take out a mini game cartridge. Each mini cartridge is workable with a built-in video game, and a built-in NFC tag enables the cartridge to be easily written with a NFC-enabled smartphone. Moreover, the Raspberry Pi powered NES Classic Edition also comes with a mini controller which fully replicates the detailing of NES controller. After the break, check out these images about the awesome NES Classic Edition, and the maker has detailedly explained the steps of making the game console.
