There are many cloud storage services on the markets, but if you prefer to manage your digital content, you may like to check the Monument, a personal cloud device that syncs and organizes your photos and videos from smartphone and cameras.
The Monument is a good-looking and practical smart cloud storage device that measures 148 x 148 x 46mm and weights 300g. As shown in the images, the storage device shows off a sleek and portable design that allows you to place it anywhere in your house or easily move it from one room to another, and gorgeous metallic coating enables it to be a stylish ornament that blends well with your interior decoration.
The personal cloud device uses your own external USB drives for storage and it supports up to two disks (2x 2TB) that allow it to store up to 600,000 photos or 280 hours of video. Furthermore, built-in WiFi keeps it in your local network, so the Monument app on iOS and Android can automatically sync photos and videos from your phone to the cloud storage device, and built-in SD card slot also allows it to sync photos and videos from cameras.
Moreover, using Monument’s artificial algorithms, its companion app is able to detect the faces in your photos in order to automatically group your photos based on different people. Meanwhile, the app also organizes photos and videos according to time, date and location, and you can use keywords to quickly find out the photos which you want to review.
In addition, all photos and videos are stored in your own external hard disk. You can use another disk to backup the content or back up all the data to a remote Monument device over Internet using a secure connection.
The crowdfunding campaign for Monument is ongoing on Kickstarter. You can pledge $99 to preorder the personal cloud storage device. It will be shipped in September this year if reaching its funding goal. BTW, also don’t miss NextDrive Plug and more related cool stuff by following tags.
