The solar charger kit is designed and built by Kitables, a small handicraft studio in Colorado. The complete USB solar charger measures approx 4.5 x 2.5 x 7/8 inches and weighs 46 pennies, so you can effortlessly put it in your bag for easy carrying. Meanwhile, the solar charger is customizable by adding optional engraved patterns and text on one or multiple sides of the charger, and you can also add your own design to the charger for a more personalized look.
The kit consists of 6 pieces of laser cut plywood, a solar panel, a rechargeable battery, a switch, two circuit boards and several wires. Using included instructions, you can easily build your own solar powered power bank by yourself from scratch. In addition to the solar panel, the rechargeable battery can also be fully recharged by a wall outlet within 3 hours.
The USB solar charger kit is priced at $25 (extra fee for customization). If you’re interested, jump to Etsy for its more details.
