Want an easier way to guide you across the streets dusting cycling without needing to attach your phone on the handlebar? Take a look at HAIZE, the navigation device should be a nice solution.
The HAIZE is a simple and intuitive app-enabled navigation device designed for urban cyclists. The HAIZE measures 42.5mm diameter by 10mm thick, weights 35g, and as we can see from the images, the navigation device shows off a minimal, sleek and ultra compact design, and its rounded aluminum body allows HAIZE to decently stay on the handlebar of your bicycle using its integrated rubber band.
Using built-in Bluetooth 4.9 technology, the navigation device wirelessly communicates with your smartphone in order that you can set your destination via its custom app. And its built-in magnetometer, accelerometer and gyroscope track the direction to the destination and the position of your HAIZE. Meanwhile, the rounded LED display guides you to the destination in the radar display-like style.
The HAIZE features two display modes including compass and navigation. The compass mode only shows you the destination with a blue LED dot. The center green dot is your HAIZE’s position. When it flashes faster, you get closer to your destination. The navigation mode needs you to set a specific route and lets your HAIZE give you turn-by-turn directions. The amount of outer blue LEDs indicate the distance left. When it’s time to turn, only one outer LED is left and the center LED flashes white.
The HAIZE also comes with a built-in light sensor which allows the navigation device to automatically adjust the brightness of the display based on real-time lighting condition. In addition, its 300mAh rechargeable battery offers 2 weeks of normal usage on a single charge.
The crowdfunding campaign for HAIZE is ongoing on Kickstarter. You can pledge £60 (approx $92 USD) to preorder the navigation device. It will be shipped in June next year. BTW, also don’t miss the smart navigation device for bicycles and more related cool stuff by following tags.
