Space X Mars One mission is ongoing. The first crew will be landed on the red plant in 2016. Want to achieve your space dream? The 3D printed modular Mars habitat model may be the first step toward the dream.
Jon-A-Tron, a full-time designer at Instructables Design Studio created the awesome modular Mars habitat model using 3D printing technology. The modular Mar habitat model is inspired by those concept images about Mars One mission. As we can see from the images, the 3D printed model features highly exquisite detailing, black-and-white color scheme and simple interior decoration, and using detachable tunnels, you can print multiple mini Mars habitats and use them to form your own Mars colony on your desk.
The designer used Fusion 360 to build all parts of the modular mars habitat, and friction-fit design allows you to snaps all the parts together without the need for glue. Most importantly, the generous design has published all 3D model files of the modular mars habitat, so you can build the 3D model with your own 3D printer. Cool?
