MisterM, a senior instructables member created the pretty cool media centre with a Sharp VC-2300H portable video recorder and Raspberry Pi, so there is an advanced core hidden in the vintage VCR, and the skillful maker also added a 15″ HD screen on the back of the old VCR in order to deliver multimedia content via the Internet, USB storage or local network, and the Raspberry Pi media center can be easily controlled with a remote or mobile app. Moreover, the VCR also sports a snazzy Arduino-based clock with nice visual effects and a unique EL wire tape that can be ejected to show you a four-port USB hub.
