What do you want else from your coffee cup except your favorite coffee? The Tenmo porcelain coffee will give you a tiny nebula. Curious? Let’s have a look.
The Tenmo is a beautifully crafted and eye-catching coffee cup handcrafted with a type of ancient pottery originated during the Song Dynasty in China. The coffee cup measures 115mm (+- 10mm) high by 65mm (+-5mm) diameter and holds approx 12 oz.
The coffee cup is made from Tenmoku, a legendary, precious type of porcelain made of naturally iron-rich clay that’s hard to find anywhere else in the world besides Fujian in China. Thanks to the iron-rich soils, every Tenmo coffee cup shows unpredictable nebula patterns, and the color and patterns may even change slightly over many years of use.
Furthermore, the coffee cup features a nanoporous surface on the glaze so that the iron-rich glaze and clay may continuously release a small number of iron ions in the your coffee or tea, which helps absorb the residual chlorine and heavy metal in water. Moreover, its thick body insulates heat better than other porcelain and ceramic cups.
The crowdfunding campaign for Tenmo is ongoing on Kickstarter. We can pledge $55 to preorder Tenmo Abyss or Tenmo Nebula coffee cup. Both models will be shipped in June 2020.
