The electric power assist device comes equipped with a 250 watt brushless DC motor that brings a speed range between 0.5 – 5.5 mph, and its built-in LiFePO4 36V 3.4Ah rechargeable battery offers up to 12-mile range on a single charge, moreover, the electric wheelchair will power the user up steep hills, through thick carpet and more, and an anti-rollback feature lets you stop it on a hill securely and easily get it going again.

Furthermore, SmartDrive MX2 also features simple and intuitive control. Just pushing the wheels, you can activate the assist device, and tapping brake lets you stop the wheelchair. And just like a cruise control, you can control the speed via the speed of your push. Additionally, it also brings you some tricks for your active lifestyle like spinning in place, being in a wheelie or hopping off curbs. Apart from that, built-in Bluetooth LE Drive Control allows to wirelessly communicate with your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone.
