Samurai Star Wars in Edo Ukiyoe

As we know, Star Wars is one of the best famous science fiction movies, and molds a specialized pop culture. And it’s surprising it also can combine perfectly with other ancient cultural elements such as the following unique Star Wars series named as Samurai Wars.

undoubtedly, the illustration series of Star Wars is one of the best artworks about Star Wars. Artist Steve Bialik mixed Star Wars and Ukiyoe together, which is a traditional painting being popular in Edo Age of Japan. Although these illustrations feature the style of Japanese ancient art, you still can know what characters are shown on the paintings, for example, Darth Vader in daimyo costume, Han Solo wearing samurai armor, and monk Obi-Wan. Moreover, you also can see many Japanese traditional elements such as unique Japanese castle, geisha, and various Kamons.
