Samsung has finally announced Galaxy Gear at IFA 2013, the highly expected smart watch. I you’re also waiting for this moment, let’s go on checking what the smartwatch looks like and features it’s been equipped.
Samsung Galaxy Gear is a smart wrist watch that measures 36.8 x 56.6 x 11.1mm and weights 73.8g. As we can see from the images, the smart watch features minimalistic modern design, and comes with an 800MHz single-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display with 320 x 320 pixels resolution, and 1.9-megapixel autofocus camera with BSI sensor on the rubber bend.
Using built-in Bluetooth 4.0, you can pair the smart watch with your Galaxy device in order that you can conveniently receive notification from your smartphone or tablet, or directly check info on the smartwatch, but at Galaxy Gear just works with Galaxy devices run Android 4.3 or later, this means it only supports Note 3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 at present.
Samsung Galaxy Gear supports third-party applications in addition to official apps so it comes with many practical applications such as S Voice, Memographer, Evernote, Line, Path, RunKeeper and more. Apart from that, the smart watch is powered by an embedded 315mAh rechargeable battery.
How about Samsung Galaxy Gear? I feel the processor is too slow, and the smart watch will set you back $300 USD. Do you need a smartwatch that just works with Galaxy devices? If you’re interested, jump to Samsung official site for more details.
