Many of us like all kinds of amazing robots, but as Romotive said, we haven’t owned a real robot until now. If you also want to own a robot, let’s go on checking Romotive’s Romo.
Romo is a smartphone powered robot designed by Romotive, a company founded by Phu Nguyen and Peter Seid. According to their vision, Romo robot will be able to learn, grow, and change via adding new hardware modules, while the open programmable feature will bring various apps to the real robot for more functions, you can even code your own program for your Romo.
As we can see from the images, the smartphone powered robot kit comes with a motorized, acrylic base with an accessory port for connection with smartphone or iPod touch, rechargeable battery, USB cable and analog circuitry with two outputs. Just dock your iPhone or Android phone on the robot, you will be able to control the robot via computer or another smartphone. Apart from that, the smartphone powered robot will come along with three applications when shipped, including RomoRemote, Romo Kart and Drag and Drop Programming Module. After the break, check out the following demo video.
