The PIXIO is an innovative and pretty fun building block set inspired by pixel art. The PIXIO construction set contains 100-3200 tiny cubic building blocks, and it’s available in 16 colors. Meanwhile, each PIXIO plastic cube measures 8 x 8 x 8mm (approx 1/3 inches) and weighs mug over 1g. More importantly, the mini building block features 6 built-in super strong neodymium magnets that lose no more than 2% of their magnetic force in 50 years, so the magnetic building block set is able to deliver a more simple and flexible way to make various creations, and rich colors bring you more possibilities to build awesome models.
Furthermore, the inventors are working on instructions in order to guard you to create lots of pixelated characters. Of course, you can also recreate all kinds of 8-bit characters from those classic video games like Minecraft, Super Mario Bros, Space Invaders and more.
The crowdfunding campaign for PIXIO is ongoing on Kickstarter. You can pledge $19-275 to preorder the magnetic building block set with 50-1600 cubes. All sets will be shipped in August 2017 (estimated) if reaching its funding goal.
