Using a unique modular design Pitta autonomous 4K selfie drone doubles as an action camera. Cool? Let’s continue checking.
The Pitta is an innovative and flexible 4K camera drone that measures 170mm (6.7 inches) and weighs 200g (7 oz). As shown in the images, the flying drone sports an ultra portable, spherical form factor, so you can easily carry it for various outdoor activities.
The Pitta comes with four main modules including drone module, camera drone, action camera module and charging cradle. Using the three detachable modules, you can use Pitta as a camera drone or an action camera. The camera module features a 13MP image sensor with software image stabilization, and it supports 4K video recording, time-lapse, slow-motion, burst shot and panorama shot.
In drone mode, Pitta can be controlled via your smartphone, and using follow me and autonomous fly, the drone will make you always the focus in the frame. In action camera mode, the Pitta works with any standard action cam mount that allows you to conveniently record your adventure, or you can also put it on the charging cradle, turning it into a home security camera that streams to your smartphone wherever you’re.
In addition, in drone mode, the Pitta offers 15 minutes of flying time. When holding it as an action camera, you will get over 100 minute runtime on a single charge.
The team behind Pitta has raised enough fund for the product on Kickstarter, but we can still pledge $289 to preorder the 4K selfie drone with action camera mode. It will be shipped in May 2018.
