Using a highly wide 200-degree field of vision and 3840×2160 resolution per eye Pimax 8K VR headset brings you a more realistic virtual reality world. Sounds cool? Let’s keep checking.
The Pimax 8K is a high performance VR headset designed to deliver higher quality images. As shown in the images, the VR glasses sport a pretty cool, futuristic appearance design. Using adjustable headset strap and interpupillary distance adjustment the headset provides a custom fit for every user. Moreover, the customized VR frame allows Pimax 8K to fit glasses, and auto-demisting system ensures the headset always delivers a clear and sharp screen without being blurred by your breathing.
The 8K VR headset features a 200-degree field of vision that’s close to the natural human FOV of 220 degrees, so you can comfortably use your peripheral vision without having to move your head. Furthermore, each lens of the VR headset delivers 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution with 16.6 million pixels for clear and sharp images. For input signals less than 8K, using a special video processing module the headset can upscale the signals to 8K resolution for improved video performance.
Moreover, built-in Brainwarp technology boosts refresh rate, reduces latency and decreases GPU pressure. The VR headset also features multiple tracking modes, and you can switch between them. Pimax 8K VR headset works with mainstream VR platforms including Steam VR, Oculus and PiHome, so it’s compatible with over 1,700 VR games and videos.
The team behind Pimax 8K VR headset has successfully achieved the fund goal for the product via Kickstarter, but we can still pledge $349 to preorder the headset. It will be expected to be shipped in January 2018.
