Using typewriter styled design, Penna Bluetooth mechanical keyboard brings you retro nostalgia and comfortable typing experience. Like the idea? Let’s continue checking.
The Penna is a beautifully designed and well crafted Bluetooth-enabled mechanical keyboard inspired by old-school typewriter. As we can see from the images, the wireless keyboard shows off the classic design elements from a retro typewriter including rounded keys, smooth edges, discreet color options and more. Meanwhile, its portable form factor allows you to easily place it on the desk, adding much retro atmosphere in any room.
Penna Bluetooth keyboard is available in two types of keycaps. The diamond 4-axis keycaps are designed for improved accuracy from any typing angles while the retro chrome keycaps decisively implement the retro aesthetics. When combined with Cherry MX blue type mechanical switch, the Penna will give you reminiscence of typewriters.
In addition to blue mechanical switch, the Bluetooth keyboard also has Cherry MX red and Cherry MX brown switches to choose in order to provide a customizable and comfortable typing experience. Using a switch at the side of the keyboard, you can choose a key layout for Android/Windows or iOS with ease, and a custom groove keeps your tablet or smartphone in place when you type.
Furthermore, the mechanical keyboard also features a unique macro bar that saves frequently used keys and sentences for quick access. The Penna uses Bluetooth 4.2 technology to wirelessly connect with your smartphone, tablet or computer and it supports multi-pairing for up to 5 devices. In addition, built-in rechargeable battery offers up to 6 months of usage between charges.
The crowdfunding campaign for Penna is ongoing on Kickstarter. You can pledge $89 to preorder the Bluetooth mechanical keyboard. It will be shipped in August 2017 (estimated). BTW, don’t miss the Lofree wireless mechanical keyboard and more related gadgets by following tags.
