Peak Design has announced Travel Tripod, and it has been available for preorder via Kickstarter. Want to learn more about it? Let’s keep checking.
The Travel Tripod is a fully featured tripod that measures 3.25 inches wide and 15.5 inches long when packed. The aluminum alloy model weighs 3.44 lbs, while the carbon model weighs 2.81 lbs. Compared with regular tripods, the travel tripod shows off a more compact form factor so that you can effortlessly slide it into the side pocket of your backpack. Both aluminum and carbon fiber models feature a solid and durable construction, while the carbon fiber makes it lighter for easier carrying.
With easy-to-use leg cam levers, you can quickly set up the tripod in seconds, and the quick-release button and locking ring securely keep your camera in place. The adjustment ring allows you to easily rotate the camera, and the ball joint lets you drop it into portrait mode. Using a counterweight hook, you can easily enhance the stability of the tripod.
The travel tripod features a combination of 20lb weight capacity and a 60″ max height in order to handle a full-frame DSLR camera with a 70-200 lens. Moreover, using a removable hook, the tripod also works with smartphones. Using multiple modes like inverted mode and low mode, the tripod will help you capture more awesome photos.
The team behind Travel Tripod is raising fund for the product on Kickstarter. We can ledge $289/$479 to preorder the tripod. It will be shipped in December 2019.
Update: the travel tripod has been available on Amazon for $599.95 (carbon fiber)
