Nintendo unveiled mini NES Classic Edition in July. Now they has turned Famicom, another classic game console into a mini version. Curious? Let’s keep checking the mini Famicom.
As we can see from the images, the mini game console is totally shaped as Famicom, one of the most classic gaming system release by Nintendo in 1983, so it features accurate contours and all charming details from its original appearance, but the mini version can fit in your palm for portability, and using HDMI cable, you can easily connect it with your HDTV.
Same as the original device, the mini Famicom comes with two game controller with its classic layout, each features a D-pad, two firing button and two function buttons. There is no cartridge holder in the mini game console, but it features 30 classic and well-received Famicom video games including Super Mario Bros, Final Fantasy III, The Legend of Zelda, Ninja Gaiden, Double Dragon II, Metriod, and more.
The mini Famicom will be available in Japan on 10th November for 5980 yen (approx US$59), but there is no word about its overseas sales on Nintendo website. Update: the console has been available on Amazon for $116.99 USD.
