The Nest Cam IQ is a rugged outdoor security camera that measures 5 x 3.7 x 3.7 inches and weighs 20 oz, and its cable is 25 ft long. As shown in the images, the security camera sports a minimal minimalistic appearance design with its predecessor: Nest Cam Outdoor, and the white exterior allows it to quietly stay on the wall of your house and monitor the outdoor status. Meanwhile, using integrated stand and included installment accessories you can easily deploy the security camera anywhere you want to see around the house. The IP66 weatherproof casing allows it to work well outdoors.

Nest Cam IQ smart outdoor security camera comes equipped with a 1/2.5-inch, 8MP color sensor with HDR, so it supports up to 1080p (1920 x 1080) video recording at 30fps. Furthermore, its lens features 130-degree field of view, and its versatile hinge allows it to rotate 360 degrees for a wide monitoring area. When the outdoor security camera sees a person, its special algorithms automatically zoom in and follow the action in the app.

Moreover, Nest Cam IQ can detect a person up to 50 feet away, and send an alert with a photo of who’s there to your smartphone. The high-power 850 nm infrared LEDs are designed to provide enhanced night vision. In addition, other features also include high-quality speaker, 3-microphone array, and 128-bit AES with TLS/SSL for secure data transmission.
