There are many mini AT-ATs on the market, but if you have a preference to build something by yourself, then you may like to make your own Star Wars AT-AT Walker model with plywood.
Seamster, a community manager at instructables created the awesome AT-AT model by himself as a gift for his kids. The AT-AT Walker measures 20 inches tall, and unlike original AT-AT built with futuristic alloy and many models made of plastic, the AT-AT model is almost made entirely from scraps of Baltic birch plywood. Of course, it doesn’t affect that the mini AT-AT shows off its meticulous details and interactive parts including fully poseable legs, pivoting gull-wing main doors, removable magnetic wall panels, articulated cockpit tunnel, cockpit hatch and more.
Moreover, the talent has added LEGO panels in the AT-AT’s body and cockpit, which make it compatible with LEGO minifigures. And weighted feet keep the wooden AT-AT securely on the desk. The replica was made completely by hand with common woodworking tools, and Seamster has published the whole making steps. If you want also to build it by yourself, jump to indtructables for more detailed description. BTW, also don’t miss the Star Wars AT-AT wooden bookends and more related cool stuff by following tags.
