Following G6 Series, LG has unveiled Q8, its latest IP67 durable, water-resistant smartphone. Want to learn more about the phone? Let’s continue checking.
LG Q8 is a high-performance, large-screen smartphone that runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The Android phone measures 148.9 x 71.9 x 7.9cm and weighs 146g. As we can see from the images, LG Q8 sports an elegant, slim form factor with a gorgeous matte finish. With the ultra-thin design and smooth sides the handset provides a comfortable and firm grip even though it features a 5.2-inch QHD IPS Quantum display with 2560 x 1440 resolution and 570ppi pixel density.
Meanwhile, the smartphone meets IP67 dust and water resistant standards, which means LG Q8 can be safely immersed in up to one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. The rounded corners effectively absorbs shocks and bumps when you accidentally drop it from your hand.
LG Q8 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 mobile platform and has 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB ROM with a microSD card slot, so it delivers high performance for various apps and games and enough capacity to store your ever-increasing photos and videos.
In addition to a 5.2″ QHD display, the Q8 also features a customizable always-on secondary IPS Quantum display on the top of its main display. You can customize it with your favorite apps, tools and frequently used contacts for quick access.
Moreover, its dual-lens rear camera system consists of a 8MP camera with 135-degree wide angle lens and a 16MP camera with a 83-degree standard lens. Its front-facing 5MP camera features a 120-degree wide-angle lens with f1.9 aperture. Apart from these, other features also include 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, fingerprint sensor, Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, and embedded 3,000mAh rechargeable battery.
LG Q8 will be available in Europe starting this week, and rolled out in Asian markets next month, but the pricing hasn’t been unveiled by LG. If you’re interested, jump to LG official site for its more details.
