Leica has announced multiple new cameras at Photokina, including Leica M-A, Leica X, Leica X-E, Leica V-LUX, Leia D-LUX and more. If you like compact design and Leica’s red dot, the Leica D-LUX (Type 109) compact camera may catch your eyes.
Leica D-LUX (Type 109) is a premium compact point and shoot camera that measures 4.6 x 2.6 x 2.4 inches and weights 12.87 oz. As shown in the images, the Leica camera sports a compact, elegant and classic design, and the metal body is durable enough to protect internal components, while buttons and dials are tactfully laid out for easy access.
Leica D-LUX (Type 109) features a 4/3″ 12.8-megapixel MOS sensor and a f/1.7-2.8 Leica DC Vario-Summilux 4x zoom lens as well as a sensitivity range of ISO100 to 25600 in order to deliver high quality imaging, and the large image sensor allows the camera to record UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) video. Moreover, the premium camera also comes equipped with a 3.0″ 921k-dot LCD display, an electronic viewfinder, multiple exposure modes, optical image stabilization and an included Leica CF D external flash.
