Recently, Kobo unveiled its latest ebook reader. It’s a good news for those who wouldn’t spend lots of money for the Amazon Kindle. Because the upcoming Kobo ebook reader just costs $149 USD.
Kobo eReader measures 120 x 84 x 10mm, and has a vinyl back. It comes with 6-inch e-ink screen, built-in 1GB flash memory, up to 4GB SD card slot. It’s a bit pity that 3G doesn’t integrated into the ebook reader. Most buttons are placed at the edge of the device except the big blue 4-way navigational pad on the front of the ebook reader.
Kobo ebook reader can support ePUB and PDF file formats, and users also can directly open the ebooks in Kobo ebook store.
Kobo eReader will be released in May in Canada at first. US launch is expected to begin in Borders this summer.
