HyperDrive has unveiled GEN2 USB-C hub series via Kickstarter. With 100W Power Delivery, the new USB-C dock series will bring you more powerful output, and it supports 4K60Hz with an HDMI port. Need more features? Let’s have a look.
The GEN2 is HyperDrive’s latest USB-C hub series that contains three different models based on the number of ports: 6 ports, 12 ports and 18 ports, so you can choose based on different needs. The 6-port GEN2 is more portable than other two GEN2 models, while the bigger GEN2 models deliver more ports, which are more suitable to stay on your desk. Meanwhile, all GEN2 USB-C hubs feature a sleek and solid metallic housing for durability and matching the beauty of your computer.
HyperDrive GEN2 USB-C dock also features 100W Power Delivery to keep all connected devices working normally while charging your laptop, and it supports 4K 60Hz video output with an HDMI port. The 6-port GEN2 comes equipped with an HDMI port, USB-C port with 100W PD, USB port, microSD/SD card reader, and 3.5mm audio jack.
In addition to the same ports with the 6-port model, the 12-port USB-C dock also has an extra HDMI port, 3 USB ports, DP 4K60Hz port, and Gigabit Ethernet port. The 18-port USB-C docking station has the same ports as the 12-port model and 6 extra ports including VGA, USB-C 10Gbps, USB-A port with QC3.0, DC power port, Optical Toslink Audio and Digital Coaxial Audio.
The crowdfunding campaign for HyperDrive GEN2 is ongoing on Kickstarter. We can pledge $59/$89/$119 to preorder one of the USB-C hubs. The series will be shipped in May 2020.
