The Hover 2 is a high-performance, AI powered 4K drone that measures 230 x 45 x 172mm and weighs 490g. As we can see from the images, the new camera drone has a similar appearance design with original Hover flying drone, and it’s a bit bigger and heavier than the predecessor, but you can still fold it up and take it for any outdoor activity.
The foldable 4K camera drone comes equipped with a swiveling stereo sensor that gives the drone depth perception in every direction. Furthermore, using SLAM 3D mapping, VIO (Visual Inertial Odometry), and path planning, the drone delivers 360-degree obstacle avoidance. Meanwhile, it’s able to bypass obstacles and keep tracking a target in real time, while its computer vision system allows it to accurately lock onto the target even after significant changes in appearance and shape of the target.
Moreover, Hover 2 comes equipped with a 1/2.3in CMOS sensor and a mechanical gimbal in order to capture smooth 4K aerial videos and 12MP photos. And with 4 preset shot modes with AutoFrame, omni-follow, and TrackShots, it unlocks your creativity genius. In addition, in BlastOff mode, you can control the drone from up to 5km (3mi) away when using optional BlastOff controller. Another optional palm pilot controller lets you enjoy one-handed control experience. Its removable rechargeable battery offers up to 23 minutes of flight time.
The team behind Hover 2 is raising fund for the product on Kickstarter. We can pledge $449 to preorder the foldable 4K camera drone. It will be shipped in March 2019.
